Synopsis When a strangely carved violin appears at auction in London, one bidder is determined to succeed and to locate the man who can solve a mystery about a tragic love and about two boys, perhaps brothers who were united by their lust for music. How they were ultimately divided is a story that travels from post WW1 Budapest to pre-Nazi Vienna.
